PR Broadband Task Force Scheduled to Meet to Discuss Universal Service Fund and Lifeline Programs

The Puerto Rico Broadband Task Force is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, to discuss new opportunities for partnering with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and addressing the critically low broadband adoption rate in Puerto Rico. The FCC voted last week to reform the Universal Service Fund Low Income program, which currently provides subsidies to families to defray the cost of voice services.
