Puerto Rico Wireless Customers Introduced to Emergency Alerts

Some mobile carriers in Puerto Rico have begun implementing the Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS), an alerting network designed to disseminate emergency alerts to mobile devices. The system was actually deployed last week when a severe tropical storm embraced the island. This caused emergency warnings to be generated throughout most of the area. Puerto Rico Crowdfunding Site Makes Significant Gains in Financing Projects

Antrocket.com, the Puerto Rico based crowdfunding site, has acquired more than 1,060 registered users and has successfully financed six projects during its initial four months of operation. Antrocket.com has also launched a Spanish language version of its website to make it easier for its primarily Hispanic users to interact with the platform.
