Everyoneon.org PSA’s Available
Connect2Compete, in partnership with the Puerto Rico Broadband Taskforce, today released a series of public service announcements (PSA) on everyoneon.org. The campaign was designed to promote the importance of digital literacy skills and increase access to free computer and Internet training classes.
Low-income and minority Americans disproportionately find themselves on the wrong side of the digital divide, excluded from the digital economy and all its benefits.
A 2012 Connect Puerto Rico report revealed that nearly 85% of Puerto Rico households had access to fixed broadband at advertised speeds of at least 3 Mbps download/768 Kbps upload but access alone is not enough.
The EveryoneOn campaign aims to help millions of Americans who do not have the digital literacy skills they need to succeed and help them understand the relevance the Internet has in their lives. Whether it’s finding a job, helping their children complete homework, e-Banking, or communicating with distant family, it’s vital that we encourage everyone to take advantage of the tools they need to succeed.
