Remote Office, Home Office, Your Office in Harbor Springs
The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that 40% of Americans will work at home in some form by 2020. Harbor Springs is taking advantage of this trend and working preemptively to make the area a hotspot for remote workers. The newly proposed co-working space, under the working title Remote Office/ Home Office or ROHO, will give remote workers of all types a place to focus, work, and connect with others.

Library Offers Free Take-Home Internet
When applying for jobs, taking an online course, finishing homework, or even setting up an e-mail account, many of the approximately 90 million Americans who do not have adequate Internet access at home turn to their local libraries. New programs offering mobile Internet access are now allowing library patrons to take the Internet with them when the library closes its doors at night.

Anderson County Joins Connected Community Engagement Program
Last Tuesday, Anderson County and the city of Palestine, Texas hosted their Connected Community Engagement Program kickoff meeting at the Anderson County Courthouse with over 20 people in attendance.
In the kickoff meeting, attendees discussed the need for turbocharging existing businesses, integrating virtual workplaces, incorporating broadband and technology in government, public safety, and integrating technology in the classroom.

Coryell County Hosts Connected Kickoff Meeting
Earlier this month, Coryell County hosted its first Connected Community Engagement Program kickoff meeting in Gatesville led by Connected Texas Community Technology Advisor Libbey Scheible.
County Judge John Firth welcomed guests and shared his support of the county’s involvement in the Connected program, stressing the importance of technology to the county’s economic development.
