FirstNet seeks to close the gap on communications among public safety personnel by providing the first nationwide public safety broadband network. INTECO Launches Broadband Network Project
The Central Eastern Technological Initiative (INTECO) launched a broadband network Tuesday that will provide advanced Internet access to 10 municipalities in Puerto Rico.
The launch was held at the INTECO facilities in Caguas. Other towns that will benefit from the project include Aguas Buenas, Cayey, Cidra, Gurabo, Humacao, Juncos, Las Piedras, Naguabo, and San Lorenzo.
Mayor William Miranda Torres, along with INTECO executives conducted a demonstration of the equipment that will be used to connect the network.
