Connected Tennessee Releases 2014 Business Survey Results

Connected Tennesses released its business survey results Thursday revealing Tennessee businesses earned over $37 billion dollars in online sales in 2013; 81% of Tennessee businesses now use broadband, up 5 percentage points from 2013; and many businesses cite training, tech knowledge as important for new employees.

Connect South Carolina Releases 2014 Business Survey Results

New research released by Connect South Carolina in conjunction with Wednesday’s South Carolina Broadband Advisory Council meeting shows that 78% of South Carolina businesses use broadband; 16,000 Internet-connected businesses want more bandwidth, but 37% cannot get it; and that online sales revenues are more than $30 billion for state businesses.

Google is giving Homer, Alaska some special attention!

The web giant has named Homer its Alaska eCity for 2013.

Google and independent research firm Ipsos MORI analyzed the online strength of local small businesses in cities in all fifty states. The city with the highest scores in each state was designated a 2013 Google eCity.
