FirstNet Shows Promise for Needed Change to EMS

With FirstNet, emergency medical service (EMS) personnel will be able to access and deliver information quickly to save more lives than current connectivity allows.

DHS Looks to Leverage FirstNet

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sees the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) as a national broadband network for emergencies and public safety to expand mission capabilities across DHS agencies.

Wolf Tomb, chief technology officer at Customs and Broadband Protection, told FWC that FirstNet “could open up communications at the border." That is why DHS Deputy CIO Margie Graves said, "We're invested in FirstNet.”
