New Tech Workshops for Puerto Rico’s Seniors
The Puerto Rico Telecommunications Regulatory Board (PRTRB) has announced a new program to provide digital education in 33 towns across the island.
The TechnoAbuelos initiative, a part of the PRTRB’s Planning, Adoption/Access, and Incentives for Broadband Services program, was designed specifically for senior citizens.

Seventy-six million Americans were born between 1946 and 1964. If there is one thing the baby boomer generation is used to, it’s getting attention as a group.

Boosting Broadband Access in Puerto Rico
Legislation has been proposed to make broadband Internet access faster and cheaper for residents of Puerto Rico. Senator Ramón Luis Nieves, author of the measure, announced the details of Senate Bill 1203 at a news conference Wednesday.
The senator emphasized that the bill was proposed as a mechanism for social justice and economic development.
