Cyber security conference planned for October in Ypsilanti
Cyber security is the focus of a statewide conference set to take place at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest in October.
Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder, a former Ann Arbor venture capitalist, is expected to serve as a keynote speaker at the conference, which has been dubbed Michigan Cyber Summit 2011. It will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 7.
Organizers, including the Washtenaw County Cyber Citizenship Coalition, are also hoping that U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and White House Cybersecurity Director Howard Schmidt will attend.
