$30M Grant Funds Available for Broadband Apps and Innovations

The National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Public Safety Communications Research Division (PSCR) recently announced a $30 million grant opportunity toward innovative digital tools for first responders and FirstNet’s national public safety communications network.  "The idea behind this is that we want to help public safety [professionals] envision what the future looks like for them. On October 29, the Puerto Rico Chapter of the Internet Society (ISOCPR), Technology Hispanic Educational Services (HES), and the Puerto Rico Broadband Task Force (PRBT) will celebrate Internet Day 2016. USDA Grant Funds Rural Telemedicine and E-Learning

 The USDA is making $19 million available to rural areas seeking to expand distance learning opportunities and telemedicine.
